Comments	My earliest recollection of P.E. was in my early teens. My Father tells me he took me to a doctor when I was around 10, and advise then was, as I grew chest hair, my hole would not be noticable!! Sine then, I never go out without a shirt on

What do you think of this website?	great-I would recommend if parents have children with PE to get a plastic surgeon to get surgery done. In my mind-a little pain for an operation will save a lot of emarrassing situations layer in life!!

Comments	i have read many of the notes on this guestbook and i am amazed at how many other people have this condition.my sunken chest started to form at the age of about 5/6 i am now 23. I had cosmetic surgery about 3 yrs ago to correct my sunken chest,( no surgeon ever mentioned that there were things such as Nuss . my chest does look a lot better, but i still feel it looks abnormal. I would like to find out if the nuss procedure could be carried out. if anyone would like to e-mail me about this condition or the surgery i have had, plse feel free.
Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically?	yes very much so, it affects me everyday. It makes me worry about evrything from taking my top off to what what clothes to wear. i cant go swimming and cant go to the gym. can be very depressing.
Does your pectus deformity affect you physically?	never really has. sometimes heart seems to beat quite fast, but nothing abnormal. dont think i have as much stamina when i run.
What do you think of this website?	i think this website is very helpful for people wanting to see if they are the only person who has this as i thought. Needs to be kept up to date.

Comments	I found this really useful - as my sone has pectus excavatum. He has been told that he has to live with it and there is nothing that can be done. I will show him this page and at least he has some options. Thank you

Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically?	Yes, it does. I feel I can't develop my personality healthily. Life Quality is suffering. I especially feel insecure with women because of my P.C. But there is hope as I am trying to find out about surgery possibilities and going through such a surgery as soon as possible.

Comments	I have a pectus deformity and I am 14 years of age. I have Pectus Carinatum and it isn't very severe. I have read that as I go through adolesence it will go even worse and I need options on how to correct it. I was wondering if gaining weight would hide the deformity. I am insiting on getting a weight set to put on weight to hide the chest bones. Will this work?
Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically?	Well, I do get pretty upset about it and I always cover up my chest in front of people and I am always touching it and looking at my chest.
