| Comments | i am 15 years old and i have P.C. ever since my dad pointed out that i had pectus carinatum, it really took over my life. whenever my girlfriend was laying on my chest, i was scared to death that she might comment on how poiny it was and that she might think it gross and dump me. this site has really helped me with accecpting my deformity as a part of me. |
| Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically? | yes. it is the reason why it looks like i have no pec muscles. i used to think tht if i slept with a fist under the protrusion, it would, eventually, go away. im a little scared of going swimming at my local pool because im the only one with it there. and i dont like to wear tight t-shirts for fear of it showing. i also tend to cover it up when i take off my shirt and i change facing the wall of extremely fast. |
| Does your pectus deformity affect you physically? | only by appearence. i can run fine and my lungs dont hurt. |
| What do you think of this website? | as i said before, it has really helped me accecpt my deformity as a part of me. it was really informative too |

| Comments | Have have a mild case of pectus exscavatum. I was very lucky it was not severe, but I am able to comprehend the hardship of dealing with this abnormalty. |
| Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically? | Well it does effect me, not necessarily in a bad way. You see people see my chest and are confused. Most people have never heard of such a thing. I like to see the look on their face when I lift my shirt. They all ask the same questions, but I let them know what they want to know. |
| Does your pectus deformity affect you physically? | No, you see this is where I was lucky. I am currently enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, I couldn't be more fit. |
| What do you think of this website? | The examples are very severe, if people are curious about the disformaty they should come to this website |

| Comments | I am 43 years old and have PE and have lived with it all of my like thinking I was the only one out their with this problem. Over the years I knew I was different but I never let it change my life or my behaviors. I have worked out most of my life and am concious of my body and know I will never have a great chest but I'll never look like Arnold neither so it's just how God designed me. So anyone out their wandering if you can live with this....YES you can, don't let something like this stop you from living!! Email me if you have questions. |
