Comments	I never knew I had p.e. until I consulted with a plastic surgeon on another matter and mentioned my sternum abnormality to him. I am now 32 years old. I visited several doctors while I was in college who all insisted that it was nothing or that I must have separated my cartilage from my sternum somehow and it healed that way. It's nice to have a name for the condition now. I have a mild case of it, with no other symptoms other than some pain and discomfort wearing bras with underwires. I wish more doctors were aware of these conditions. They all thought I was crazy for bringing this up to them!
Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically?	Somewhat...I do have poor posture, to hide the shape of my chest, and since bras don't fit right I don't feel like I can wear fashionable clothes.
Does your pectus deformity affect you physically?	I have pain in my chest, but don't notice any shortness of breath.

Comments	It took me until in my late 60's to have a name put on my sunken chest condition. As a young girl, I was so very conscious of my thin chest wall. Of course it does not matter at this age, but it seems to be bringig more physical woes. Sara
Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically?	I believe it does. I ma a size 6-8 i upper body, being a size 12 in lower body. This causes problems i clothing purchase. I am constantly aware of my dispurportioned body.
Does your pectus deformity affect you physically?	Yes. I have the usual heart mild troubles. The shortness of breath, pains in hips, lower back and legs, as well as arms.

Comments	I did not know i had a recognised medical condition until i looked in to it on the net. I will be seeing my G.P. for a referal to a specialist. It is great to know that i am not alone.

Does your pectus deformity affect you psychologically?	My daughter is very self-com=ncious of her ribs, expecially as she is a dancer. Certain costumes show her ribs, and she cannot do certain exercises because her ribs are in the way.
Does your pectus deformity affect you physically?	My daughter gets tension headaches and neck aches due to her slumped shoulders. She used to complain of her chest hurting but this seems to have gone.
What do you think of this website?	I loved this website. My daughter is so sure she wants her ribs fixed and I didn't know where to look. This site has been tremendous.
